Hi, Iām Katie, a passionate documentary, experimental storyteller, wildlife, and nature Photographer at the University of Falmouth. For the past year I have been photographing a quarry on Bodmin moor called Gold Digging Quarry, and its connection to the past and present.
My subjective documentary style of photography allows me to capture the eerie, weird, and wonderful world that the moor has isolated itself too. In this space I am experimenting with fact, fiction, memory, place, and time each time I go out onto the moor.
Carry a camera around with me on all my walks, capturing different landscapes and people, allows me to escape the real world allowing me to be as creative and imaginative during this time.
I am fully trained and certified in emergency first aid.
